This is my first purchase of this soap. I am getting recommendations from a lot of people and am curious about the product. I have been using it from couple of days and I am very happy with this product. The soap is really gentle on the skin and has a mild pleasant fragrance which is not overpowering. It contains glycerin that helps in keeping the skin soft and moisturized after every use. Unlike other soaps, it does not make the skin feel dry or tight. My mom used to use this when I was a kid and we were not allowed to use it. Wish now that I'd taken a hint because her skin looks amazing and this stuff , for me, works wonders in hydrating. My skin does not like glycerin and I have fine lines on my face to prove this after using a glycerin based eye cream that CAUSED fine lines under my eye. That led to the realization and putting two and two together that glycerin doesn't work as it drys my skin out, causes fine lines and if I persist in using it my skin starts to crack and bleed. Since Pears soap is a glycerin bar I decided to stay away from it once I found out about my skin reactions to glycerin. BUT since I am a glutton for punishment curious cat I decided to try the bar out since Pears bars are an old reliable that many people love cause it works supposedly.
